Rental and custom manufacturing of large-scale slot car tracks

We offer our car tracks for a variety of entertainment events such as company parties, birthday parties, children’s days, corporate and other events, indoor games, outdoor games (with a tent roof)… you name it! We milled our last four-track on a large-area CNC milling machine and finished it in 2018. The track consists of three modular parts of MDF board, where the total built-up area is already a respectable approx. 2×6 meters. Unlike plastic magnetic tracks, driving on this track offers a realistic driving experience, including cornering drifting! We equipped the track with a new connection system that makes the entire track assembly more precise, faster and stronger. Of course, there is a computer timer and the arrangement of the race for the given party, including branding with your logos and company graphics is highly recommended! Of course, we provide rental to both direct clients and event or advertising agencies. PRICE: The standard rental price for the destination Prague is CZK 12,000. Detailed conditions on request. Common rental items: Assembly and disassembly of the car track plus standard 5 hours of racing operation incl. service and rental of standard cars of various brands Optional longer operating time as required Optional: branding of handrails and decoration with the client’s graphics Optional: a specific brand of toy car (suitable for events at car shows, car shows, etc.): the client pays the purchase costs, we will recommend a suitable manufacturer. Of course, these cars will remain the property of the client. Custom track

We use the experience from the construction of our motorways in the construction of motorways to order. For customers, we produce both domestic racing tracks and tracks for commercial purposes, i.e. for events or operation in shopping centers. Our favorite technology is car tracks milled into board materials. The advantage of this manufacturing process is, in addition to the completely smooth ride of the toy cars, complete freedom in the design of the track, including variable spacing of grooves within the same track or an odd number of grooves (do you want just three grooves for your three children?), which is impossible with plastic tracks. But we don’t even condemn the plastic track during custom production – if the customer still wants to keep the possibility of later changing the shape of the circuit, we have a lot of experience (see six-track and eight-track or the Czech track) from constructions from parts of all the world’s most widespread manufacturers of plastic tracks: Faro 90, SCX , Ninco and Carrera. If you want to build from Scalextric parts for any reason, the construction process will be exactly the same. Of course, we will equip each of the auto tracks built by us with a computer timing system displaying the progress and results of the races on the monitor (unless, of course, you want to practice the gross motor skills of your fingers and toes while counting laps!). If you don’t have your own idea of the shape of the auto track, in a special auto track design program we will compile variants of circuit shapes, from which you can choose the most attractive one.

Our first routed wooden large-scale slot car track

We made the first milled four-track from MDF boards with a thickness of 18 mm. We milled the grooves with a manual router. Compared to folding the plastic track, this construction brought easier transportation and, above all, almost immediate installation at company events. The track consisted of just two boards that could be placed on any tables, so in the vast majority of cases there was no need to bring your own table to the customer. This track also started the era of occasional races in Jíva pub in Podůlší. After several successful years of racing and events, it was time for a change, so even this auto track changed hands and we built a new, three-part track (see https://kravime.cz/autodraha/pronajem-autodrahy/).

Six-lane and eight-lane SCX track

In 2010, we managed to purchase a huge pile of completely unused and still wrapped plastic SCX track parts at a very favorable price. The astonishing variability and quantity of parts made it possible to build basically any car track – up to eight tracks wide! The layout of the tracks was limited only by the base table, if we used our own, it was again the optimal 2×4 meters. It was already possible to transport this track over longer distances, and after disassembly, it also fit into the station wagon with the table. However, assembly at the site of corporate events was still very time-consuming. It was necessary to assemble the support table and then the track, which was not easy even with exact plans and leaving larger units for transport – if we wanted to offer an interesting and novel track. In the end, we also sold this track and finally proceeded to an elegant solution – routing a wooden track.

Construction of our first large-scale Faro 90 track

We originally built our first large quad track in 2009 for our own children. We built for sentimental reasons from Ites and Faro 90 parts – because of the possibility of building a four-track (it cannot reasonably be built from 75 parts). The timing and starting were already controlled by the computer, so school, neighborhood, pub and company races began to be organized on it. The size of the panel was 2×4 meters, the length of the track 16.5 meters. We also equipped it with hand-carved borders (jesus, that work…) and decorations. However, the panel was indestructible – large and heavy, so transporting it to corporate events required relatively complex and, above all, laborious logistics. After a year, we sold the track to an unnamed boarding house and started building a new SCX plastic track, this time on a detachable table.
